Lyle c. Riegel

of Kempton

Lyle C. Riegel, 66, of Kempton, died Oct. 29, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Beverly A. (Geist) Riegel, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Clair J. and Ada A. (Brensinger) Riegel. A 1976 graduate of Kutztown High School, he was the proud owner of Lyle C. Riegel Trucking, Firewood and Logging in Kempton until his retirement.

He was a dedicated member of the Kempton Rod and Gun Club, Kempton Fire Company and Lynnport Fire Company.

He loved spending time outdoors – especially boating, fishing and clamming at Massey’s Landing. An avid hunter, he took great pride in having achieved the “big three” – bagging a bear, buck and turkey on his own property. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his cherished grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Heather A. (Steven) Kline, of Topton, Katie R. (Greg) Schnabl, of Lenhartsville and Erin E. (Colton) Dietrich, of Kempton; grandchildren, Gage, Savannah, Bennett, Aiden, Sophia and Tucker; sister-in-law, Lois Geist and family; brother-in-law, Dale (Brenda) Geist and family; beloved dog, Sadie.

Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, is handling the arrangements.

Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to Kempton Rod and Gun Club, 192 Pine Creek Road, Kempton. Online condolences may be shared at NesterFuneralHome.com.
