To the Editor:

Some of us are hesitant to speak out about the outrageous and dangerous policies of the Trump administration. We want to voice our opinions but we don’t voice our opinions.

I came up with an easy way to communicate our opinions on this matter:

When asked the casual question, “How are you?,” instead of replying “I am fine thank you, how are you?, one could say something like, “I am sad and depressed because democracy in the United States is disappearing. Also, this country is being ruled by a dictator.” Just make up a response with which you are comfortable. If many people start to do this, the message will spread.

On the chance your comments are met with criticism, just say “well, you asked.”
