Dryland lost 2 games to Emmanuel who were playing with 2 “John Doe’s” this week by scores of 3-2 and 4-3 while winning the middle game 5-2. Leading hitters for Emmanuel were Tommy Dormedia 6-12, Jon Rice 6-14, Chuck Achenzie 5-14, and Tracy Dormedia 4-11. Hitting for Dryland were Earl Sigley 5-13, while Nate Phares (HR), Dennis Skelton and Karen Krome each went 4-12.

St. Paul’s and Farmersville remained tied for 2nd place as both teams lost 2 games each. St. Paul’s won the 1st game 5-3 before falling to Star of Bethlehem by scores of 6-1 and 12-1. The Frankenfield family led the Star of Bethlehem attack as Bryan was 8-15, Ron was 7-15, and Breanna went 6-13 (HR). Other hitters for Star of Bethlehem included Kyle Taylor 7-15 and Bill Hoke Jr. 5-13 (HR). Roger Kern went 6-12 for St. Paul’s.

Farmersville fell to Ebenezer by scores of 3-0 and 11-1 before capturing the 3rd game by a score of 4-3. Leading hitters for Ebenezer included Joe Kish, Jim Voortman and Tim Pretosh going 4-12 and Paul Yoder 4-13. In game 2 Joe Kish hit for the cycle. Jim Voortman hit for the cycle for the night. Tori Enright added 2 HRs and Steve Kohl also a HR. For Farmersville Kyle Campbell and Dan Halteman went 4-12, Dave Duebler went 4-11, and Sue Grim 3-8.

Christ UCC lost the 1st game 8-3, to come back to win game 2 by a score of 6-1 and game 3 5-0 over Blessed Trinity. Top hitters for Christ UCC were Eric Yocum 5-12, Ed Yost 4-9, Kevin Biechy 4-12 (2 HRs) and HRs from Donnie Laudenslager (2) and Keith Laudenslager. Ken Remaly was 7-13, Andy Mickelson 6-13, and Chuck Crisati 4-12 for Blessed Trinity.

Week 8

Dryland drops into a 3-way tie for 1st place as they dropped a pair of games while St. Paul’s and Star of Bethlehem each won a pair of games. Dryland lost to Ebenezer by scores of 8-1 and 8-3, winning the nightcap 3-0. Leading hitters for Ebenezer included Joe Kish 6-12, Paul Yoder 4-12, Joey Blevins also 4-12, Brenda Prestosh 3-5, and Tori Eppright with a HR. Karen Krome and Dave Crouthamel were 5-12 (HR) each with Pat Phares was 3-10 and Earl Sigley with a HR for Dryland.

St. Paul’s lost the ‘nightcap’ 2-0 to Christ UCC after taking the 1st 2 games 12-1 and 5-2. Roger Kern was 7-14 for St. Paul’s while Rich Kern went 5-9, Dave Clark 5-14, Jennifer Erkinger 4-12, Kevin Gross 4-13 and Jason Gross 4-14. For Christ UCC A.J. Renn was 7-13 with HRs from Keith Laudenslager, Kevin Biechy and George Gasper.

Star of Bethlehem sandwiched 4-3 and 8-3 wins around a 5-3 loss to Farmersville. Top hitters for Star of Bethlehem were Kyle Taylor 6-12, Tyler Frankenfield 5-8, and Ron Frankenfield 5-12, while Mark Steigerwalt was 5-11, Sue Grim 4-10 (HR), Rick Kittek 4-12 (HR), a Tom George 4-13 (HR) for Farmersville.

Emmanuel lost the opener 12-6 to Blessed Trinity coming back to win 7-5 in 14 innings and 4-3. Leading the way for Emmanuel were Chuck Achenzie going 9-17 (HR), Jack Hill 8-16 (HR) and Tom Dormeida 7-16 (HR). For Blessed Trinity Andy Mickelson was 8-15, Ken Remaly 8-16, Tim Hiedelmark 6-15 with HRs from Terry Knauss and Chuck Crisafi.

Week 9

There is a 3 way tie for 1st place as Dryland, St. Paul’s and Star of Bethlehem all won 2 games each in their matches. It was Dryland beating Blessed Trinity 1-0 and 7-0 after losing the opener 3-2 on a pair of HRs by Eric Harper and Dave Kolman for Blessed Trinity. Hitters for Dryland were Butch Silfies 5-11, Karen Krome and Anita Skelton each going 3-10. Ken Remaly was 3-9 for Blessed Trinity.

It was St. Paul’s winning 3-2 in 11 innings and 6-1 over Ebenezer losing the nightcap 4-0. Top hitters included Jennifer Erkinger 6-13, Jason Gross also 6-13, John Hoysan 5-11 and Roger Kern 5-13 for St. Paul’s. Joey Blevins and Joe Kish were 5-13 each and Tori Eppright with a HR for Ebenezer.

After a 8-6 loss to Emmanuel, Star of Bethlehem came back to win 10-7 and 5-1. Ron Frankenfield led the Star of Bethlehem going 9-14, with Walt Hoffert 6-14, Tyler Frankenfield 6-15, Bryan Frankenfield 5-14 and Briana Frankenfield with 2 HRs. Tracy Dormeida was 7-10, Bob Bast 6-13 and Chuck Achenzie 4-14 for Emmanuel.

Christ UCC won 5-2 and 3-1 over Farmersville, losing the opener 7-3. Leading hitters for Christ UCC were A. J. Renn and Garry Hunsicker each going 5-12, while Gene Grim was 8-14 (HR), Sue Grim 6-13, Kyle Campbell 5-13 and Dan Halteman also 5-13 for Farmersville.
