Darlene R. Smith, 82, of Germansville, died peacefully Nov. 2, 2025 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Unit in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Marvin W. Smith, who died in 1997. Born in New Tripoli, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Roma (Hunsicker) Kressley.

She was a 1961 graduate of Northwestern High School in New Tripoli. She was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church in New Tripoli. She worked as a hostess for the former Papa’s Restaurant in Schnecksville, but her greatest joy was raising her family and helping on her family farm.

She is survived by her son, Kevin L. Smith and his companion, Betty Dean, of Germansville; daughter, Connie A. (Dale) Schmidt, of Germansville; granddaughters, Danielle (Jarett) White, Katie Schmidt, and Melanie Schmidt; great-grandsons, Dayton and Dalton White.

She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald Kressley.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Nov. 7 at Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Church Road, New Tripoli. The calling hour will begin 10 a.m. until time of service.
