Northampton: Programs to honor veterans scheduled for Nov. 8, 9
Joint Veterans Organization will hold its Veterans Day program 11 a.m. Nov. 8 at the veterans plaza, 14th Street and Washington Avenue. The rain date will be Nov. 9.

An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, basket social and bake sale will be held 4-7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave.
No need to be present for the basket drawing, set for 7 p.m.
The dinner includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, roll and butter, beverage and dessert.
Dinner tickets can be purchased at the door. There is no cost for military veterans.

The Northampton Area Historical Society will be presenting a veterans program 1:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Northampton Area High School auditorium, 1619 Laubach Ave.
Names of veterans who served in the military after World War II will be read. Patriotic music will also be played by the American Legion Band of Bethlehem.
There is no charge to attend this event. Donations will be accepted.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet Nov. 12 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave., and all members and future members are invited to attend. Doors will open 11 a.m.
Entertainment will be Lorrie Woodward. Check the trip table to see what’s in store for 2026.
Note: There will not be a meeting in December, so leaders will collect dues for the 2025-26 new year; bring your national and local membership cards to the November meeting.

A designer bag bingo is set for 1 p.m. Nov. 15 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1235 Main St. The doors will open 11:30 a.m.
Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for Northampton Area Food Bank to be entered into a special raffle.
Tickets are sold in advance and at the door. A Chinese auction, refreshments and specials are sold separately.

Northampton Area School District’s community education classes are continuing. Stixercise with Michelle Heisler is planned for 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Nov. 25 in the multipurpose room at Siegfried.
Dance to 1980s music with plastic drumsticks for a fun, complete workout. There are a lot of lunges and squats in this workout. Bring water and a mat. Modifications for beginners will be shown.
Coming soon are arts and crafts nights with Pamela Gross, set for 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Siegfried Elementary multipurpose room. Make wooden reindeer Nov. 19 and tree wreaths Dec. 10. All supplies will be provided.
Registration is required, and no drop-ins will be accepted. Registration will close one week before each craft night.

Participants do not need to be NASD residents to join but must be at least 15 years old.
