Northampton Area Public Library: Northampton library grateful for community support
Happy National Gratitude Month! This year, we’re thankful for so many things at the Northampton Area Public Library: our patrons and users, the autumn auction and basket social raising $8,554, all the participants of the auction and basket raffle, all donors for our spring annual drive, the annual drive raising $20,641, the municipalities for their contributions and the Northampton Area School District Board of Education for recognizing the importance of the public library and funding our 2025-26 fiscal year.

Game Club for grades 3-5 will meet 6 p.m. Nov. 6.

The Teen Advisory Board will meet 2 p.m. Nov. 8 to work on bookish crafts.
***
Do-it-yourself pumpkin squishy craft kits will be available for pickup Nov. 10.
The stained-glass acorn craft kit for adults will also be available to pick up Nov. 10.

Stitch and craft will be held 6 p.m. Nov. 11.

We have a special treat for all elementary school children, planned for 6 p.m. Nov. 12. Local author Lori Floyd will be here to introduce the kids to Skye and Sydney in her new book “The Adventures of the Explorers’ Club in New York City.”

Teen art workshops are scheduled for 1 p.m. and include mushroom paint and sip Nov. 15 and collage art and zine making Nov. 22.

Once Upon a Crime will meet 6 p.m. Nov. 17 to discuss survival stories.

The Well Read, Badly Behaved Book Club will discuss “Once Upon a Wardrobe” by Patti Callaghan 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 18. Choose the time that works better for you.

The Sugar ‘n’ Spice Romance Book Club will be discussing “You Had Me at Hola” by Alexis Daria for the meetings planned for 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 19. Choose the time that works better for you.

STEAM Club for grades 3-5 will be meeting 6 p.m. Nov. 20.

Family story hour is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Nov. 24 for families with kids in preschool and elementary school.
Storytimes continue through the month with lapsit 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, toddlers 10 a.m. Wednesdays and preschool 11 a.m. Thursdays.

The library will close 5 p.m. Nov. 26 and will be closed Nov. 27.

The Teen Game Club meets 1 p.m. Nov. 29, followed by the Teen Anime Club meeting 2 p.m.

Giving Tuesday is Dec. 2. The library will have a small digital campaign — and every little bit helps.

Don’t forget Tech Tutoring is available by appointment. Marty is available 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays, and Dylan is available 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Mondays.
