The November concert lineup at Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road, will include Mike Sherer Nov. 6, TKB Trio Nov. 8, The Boogie Stew Nov. 15, Two of a Kind and a Drummer Nov. 21, Whiskey Mansion Nov. 26 and Jimmy Leahey, with recording artist Greg Hollister, Nov. 28.

All of these concerts begin 7 p.m.

Whitehall Lions Club will host Whitehall historian and author Karen Gensey 1-2:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt. Gensey will present information about the history of Whitehall-Coplay School District.

This event is open to the public.

The VFW will celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps 1 p.m. Nov. 9. There will be speakers and birthday cake.

Veterans Day ceremonies will be held at the following times and locations Nov. 11.

• 9:30 a.m.: Cementon veterans memorial, Main Street

• 10 a.m.: Doughboy memorial, Park and South Church streets, Egypt

• 10:30 a.m.: Egypt Memorial Park veterans memorial, Hillcrest Lane and Curt Simmons Drive

• 11:30 a.m.: Whitehall Township Municipal Building veterans memorial, 3219 MacArthur Road. Participants at this service include Egypt VFW, Fullerton American Legion Post 367, Hokendauqua American Legion Jones-Quigg Post 739 and Whitehall Police Honor Guard.

• 12:30 p.m.: VFW Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road

Donations of nonperishable food items for Thanksgiving meals will be accepted for the VALOR Clinic Foundation annual Turkey Drop, set for 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the VFW.

Play trivia and music bingo at the VFW Post 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 and 20.

Whitehall Lions Club and Miller-Keystone Blood Center will be holding a blood drive 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 26 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Youth as young as 16 may donate, with a signed parental permission slip.

You are not eligible to donate blood if you are on blood thinners or if you have given blood less than 56 days before Nov. 26. All donors must have a valid ID with photo or signature.
