Carl Michael Podlesny, 82, of Whitehall, died Oct. 26, 2025. He was the husband of Suzanne M. (Pavlick) Podlesny.

Born in Hazleton, he was a son of the late Carl L. and Ann (Kovalick) Podlesny.

He graduated from Hazleton High School in 1961.

He served in the Army Reserves.

He briefly worked at Western Electric before going to work at Mack Trucks for 33 years.

He did volunteer work with American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mary Lynn Ghizzone with Robert of Delray Beach, Fla., and Michele Diefenbach of Alburtis; three grandchildren, Michael C. Boyko of Whitehall, Nicole S. Dugan with Shayne of Fort Myers, Fla., and Hailey C. Diefenbach of Alburtis; two great-granddaughters, Finley and Kyleigh Dugan of Fort Myers, Fla.; nieces; nephews; and extended family.

He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Jeffrey S. Diefenbach.
