The Northwestern Lehigh MS hosted their annual sixth grade Tiger Trot on Oct. 24.
The sixth-grade team organized the event to be more than just a fun run.
It’s a grade level community service project and a chance for the students to come together, support a great cause, and make a difference in our own district.
A kickoff assembly was held Oct. 17 and students brought donations for the Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry up until the Tiger Trot.
Last year’s record-breaking total was 1,517 items, but this year’s participants smashed that record with an astonishing 2,144 items collected.
The middle school parent teacher organization recruited about 10 parent volunteers to help manage the course and keep everyone on track.
At the conclusion of the run, students gathered for a presentation of medals where over 30 prizes were given out.
The PTO also treated everyone to delicious Philly Pretzels.
