Pastor Bruce MacLaughlin, 76, of Whitehall, died Oct. 27, 2025. Born in Binghamton, New York, he was a son of the late Walter and the late Ruth MacLaughlin. He was the husband of Dottie, his wife of 54 years.
He was a B. Reed Henderson HS, West Chester, graduate.
He earned a degree in Business Administration and Management, Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science and attended the Hamma School of Theology. He graduated from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in 1981.
He was a pastor for the Deaf for 10 years. He was active in outreach to the underprivileged, in youth ministries, counseling and mission work. He was a camp director for various church camps.
He was known as a story teller and a photographer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Doug (Kate), Jennifer (Rob) and Matt (Bekah); six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Alysa (Nick), Gavin (Chloe), Ava, Samantha and Kennedy; a great-granddaughter, Lainey; and a brother, W. Scott (Petra).
