Phyllis and Robert Smith, of Northampton, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 13.

They were married Sept. 13, 1975, at Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, Northampton. Father Linkhurst officiated.

Phyllis is the daughter of the late John and Emma Pontician.

Robert is the son of the late Henry and Grace Smith.

They have two children: Heather, wife of Greg Borger, and Robert Jr., husband of Jen, all of Northampton.

They have four grandchildren: Jillian and Tyler Borger and Jeffrey and Landin Smith.

The couple celebrated by taking a dinner cruise on the River Lady out of Toms River, N.J.

They also enjoyed a family dinner one week later at Assante Ristorante Italiano, Northampton.
