William J. Seidel Jr., 97, of Emmaus, died peacefully Oct. 16, 2025, in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Gladys J. (Cole) Seidel. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lydia (Reis) and William J. Seidel Sr.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He started his career at General Acceptance Corporation and later was a branch manager for Lehigh Valley Bank before retiring.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela and her husband, Thomas Wieder; grandchildren, Jennifer Wieder and Jason Fegely and Michael Wieder and Lexi Johnson; great-grandson, Jackson Fegely; sisters, Maryellen and her husband, Terry Mengel and Elizabeth and her husband, Arthur Schlapich.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Schantz Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Emmaus, is handling arrangements.
