Lights in
the Parkway
Annual event scheduled Nov. 28 to Jan. 6, 2026
The City of Allentown recently announced the return of Lights in the Parkway for its 29th season.
The event will illuminate Lehigh Parkway 5:30-10 p.m. Nov. 28 through Jan. 6, 2026.
The display will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and 31 and Jan. 1, 2026.
Visitors can drive through more than a mile of light displays featuring more than 200,000 energy-efficient LED lights. Decorated tunnels, animated scenes and festively decorated tree-lined paths are among the route’s highlights.
The “Move It Mondays” series will return, allowing visitors to walk, bike or stroll through the displays. Lehigh Parkway will be closed to vehicles Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and Jan. 5, 2026, with an additional Walking Day scheduled Jan. 6, 2026 to close out the season.
Organizers will spotlight partnerships with local groups to celebrate diverse winter holiday traditions including Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and Three Kings Day.
New themed experiences are also being developed, including a “Polar Express” night and a children’s night inspired by the movie “Frozen.”
Visitors can take advantage of early bird ticket prices through Oct. 31. Regular prices start Nov. 1.
Tickets are available exclusively online at allentownpa.gov/LITP. Online processing fees apply.
No tickets will be sold on-site.
