Richard G. Kistler, 88, of Ocean View, Del., and formerly of Northampton, died Oct. 7, 2025. He was the husband of Theresa M. (Unger) Kistler for 67 years.

He was a son of the late Albert H. and Bernice (Jones) Kistler.

He graduated from Milby High in Milby, Texas.

He was employed for 40 years at Western Electric/Lucent Technologies, where he was an operating engineer and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union. After retirement, he worked at Northampton Recreational Center for 10 years.

He was a longtime coach at Northampton Athletic Association and was involved with the Northampton Wrestling Boosters. He served on Northampton Area School District Board of Education.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Richard G. Jr. with Kathleen J. of Ocean View, Del., and David A. with Suzanne J. of Millsboro, Del.; two grandchildren, Rebecca Claire and Nathan David; a sister, Beth A.; and a sister-in-law, Stephanie Marie.

He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas E.

There will be a visitation 9-9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., Nov. 15 at Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton.
