Michael T. Heffner
Michael T. Heffner, 65, died Oct. 21, 2025, after a battle with glioblastoma. He was the husband of Gail (Long) Heffner for 17 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of Thomas and Sally (Schray) Heffner.
He attended Northampton Area Vo-Tech School and graduated from Northampton High School in 1978.
He began working as a young teen for Al Michael’s Concessions and never stopped. He migrated to electrical work, carpentry, building maintenance and then owned his own concession stands. He traveled with S&S Amusements for several years as the electrician. He started Heffner Enterprises Inc. in commercial construction, electrical contracting and building maintenance in 1996; MTHCO Inc. in 2005; and MGH Services in 2012. In 2009, along with his partners, built Reaper’s Revenge haunted attraction in Scott Township. In addition, he was also a co-owner of PA Escape Rooms in Dickson City and a licensed pyrotechnician who worked with Celebration Fireworks.
He also held a Pennsylvania amusement ride inspector license.
He was an accomplished model railroader and a talented musician playing the accordion, the guitar and the piano.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Danielle Garner and fiancé Matthew Almquist; a son, Dylan Graver; three grandchildren, Craig Graver and Sarah and Nicholas Garner; two brothers, Timothy and David and wife Carol; a brother-in law, David Long and wife Janet; four nieces, Amy, Ashley, Bryne Bair with husband Jason and Meagan Moffit with husband Lewis; three nephews, Kyle Beisel with wife April, Chad Beisel and Christopher Long with wife Courtney; and four great-nephews, Paxton Bair, Jameson Beisel and Zachary and Kian Moffit.
A private service will be held at the discretion of the family. A celebration of life will be held 3-7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Seiple’s Farm, 5761 Nor-Bath Blvd., Bath, 18014.
