Donald J. Molchany, 82, of Whitehall, died Oct. 22, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Jacob and Anna (Gresser) Molchany.

He graduated from Whitehall High School.

He was the proprietor and barber of Crusader Barber Salon, where he served his community with skill and good humor for many years.

An accomplished saxophone player and singer, he performed in numerous bands throughout the Lehigh Valley for more than 60 years. Most notably, he was a cherished member of The Chasband for more than 40 years.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Northampton.

He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Reph and husband David and Donna Williams and companion Brian Conrad; a son, Greg and wife Meredith; seven grandchildren, Alicia, Sheena, Eric, Jenna, Joshua, Brody and Emma; six great-grandchildren, Kylie, Brielle, Riley, Brynn, Blake and Peyton; and a brother, Jacob.

There will be a calling time 9:30-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service 11 a.m., Oct. 30 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
