Olimpia N. Sousa, 88, of Wescosville and formerly of Bethlehem, died Oct. 17 in her home. Born in Veiros, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joao Couto and Gloria Nunes Guiomar. She was the wife of the late Jose R. Sousa for 40 years.

She worked at and retired from the former Casco manufacturing factory, Hellertown.

She was a former member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Hellertown, and currently of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

She was a member of the Portuguese American Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Maria, wife of David Platt and Elizabeth, wife of John Spataccino; a sister, Maria Sousa; three grandchildren, Isabella Corino, David J. Platt and Donny Corino III; and two nieces, Maria Fodero and RoseMarie Stout.
