Goschenhoppen Historians offering Halloween program

The October monthly meeting of the Goschenhoppen Historians will be held at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16, at the organizational headquarters at Red Men’s Hall, 116 Gravel Pike, Green Lane, Montgomery County.

Historian Joshua Arthur Fink from Allentown will help celebrate all things Halloweeny and present an educational program entitled “Of Schpucks (Spirits), Graveyards and Disguises: A History of All Hallows Eve.” Attendees are encouraged to bring along vintage items associated with the celebration of Halloween for a “pop-up display,” as well as wear a costume, if they so desire.

Following the program, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy conversation over the groaning board, where there will be treats to delight the young and young at heart.

For more information, contact Joshua Arthur Fink, chairman of the Museums Committee and co-coordinator of Prigrams, Goschenhoppen Historians at 484-358-5720 or email Finkyx@aol.com.
