Oct. 23

The Sanctuary at Haafsville, in partnership with Ciocca of Allentown, will hold a Trunk or Treat event 4:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at 4611 Hamilton St., Allentown. There will be trunks full of goodies for kids and food will be provided. Meet adoptable dogs and cats.

Oct. 25

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will host a Trunk or Treat night 6-7:30 p.m. in the church parking lot. There will be crafts, games, prizes for best decorated cars and free refreshments. Donations of new pajamas and canned food items will be taken for those in need. Nov. 1

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will hold its legendary all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatball dinner 4-7 p.m. The meal includes spaghetti, two huge homemade meatballs, a salad, drink and homemade dessert. Take out is also available. Tickets are available at the door. There is a cost for adults and children 5-12 years old. Children under 4 may enjoy dinner for free. Handicap accessible if needed at end of church, lower level. They will also have a basket raffle. For more information, call the church at 610-395-0067.

The Allentown Music Club will present “An American Program” 2:30 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, featuring patriotic music, folk music and jazz. Performers are Sherman Cox, clarinet, The Asbury Trio featuring Jonathan Beitler, piano, John Lucas, guitar, Rich Gonya, drums and Patricia Alercia, soprano. The program coordinator is Santa Peters. The event is free and open to the public.

Nov. 2

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is accepting orders until Nov. 2 for its hoagie sale.

Choose either regular Italian with everything, no peppers, no onions with peppers, no onions or peppers; ham and cheese, no onions or peppers; turkey, no onions or peppers; roast beef, no onions or peppers; tuna or veggie.

Ingredients supplied by Thomson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.

Pickup will take place 4-6 p.m. Nov. 11.

Nov. 6

The Lehigh Carbon Community College Career Development Center will host its fall 2025 Job Fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Schnecksville campus in the Community Services Center in the CSC Ballroom. They welcome all to join them at this free public event that will provide students, alumni and community members the opportunities to network and apply for various open positions with more than 80 registered employers. The job fair helps to bridge the gap between employers and prospective applicants. It is recommended job seekers bring multiple copies of their resume, dress for success and be prepared to network. Nov. 12

The Justin Sheftel Memorial Fund invites women to join them for Ladies Night, a special evening to enjoy good company and support small business owners 5-7 p.m. at Randall’s on the Orchard, Orefield. Attendees are kindly requested to contribute a donation, which can take the form of a gift basket, gift card or monetary contribution, to be utilized in the silent auction during the Justin Sheftel Softball Tournament in 2026.

They’re excited to host a diverse range of vendors, featuring BoutiqueToGo, Threads by Gram and more. Additionally, they’ll be conducting raffles for various prizes throughout the evening, with tickets available for purchase at check-in. St. John’s UCC Fogelsville, 1027 Church St., Fogelsville, will have a sticky bun sale in December. All orders are due by Nov. 26 and the pickup date will be noon to 2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Dec. 10 at the church. They are available in plain, walnut, pecan, raisin and coconut.
