Tricks, treats and trunks of fun

Faith Wesleyan Church invites children to the 13th annual Trunk or Treat at the Schnecksville Fire Company 1-3 p.m. Oct. 25.

This free event includes candy, snacks, games, pony rides, giant slides and lots of fun. The church is located along Route 309 in Orefield. Call 610-398-0172 for more information.

Volunteers at the Schnecksville Fire Company will cook up a bountiful selection of foods for its all-you-can-eat breakfast fundraiser 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 26.

The Upper Lehigh Lions Club is taking orders for the next hoagie sale. Call Kathi at 610-799-3431 by Nov. 3 to reserve your hoagies for pick up at the Schnecksville Fire Company 2:30-4 p.m. Nov. 11.

The auxiliary of Northern Valley EMS, NOVA, will have pies for sale at the social hall on Election Day Nov. 4. Choose from cherry, peach, blueberry or shoofly. Advance orders are not needed but come early for best selection.

At the 10:15 a.m. service on All Saints Sunday, Nov. 2, St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, will remember members and friends who died in the past year. Youth of the church will sell luminaries in memory of a loved one for a small donation. Luminaries will be lit on the parking lot 7 p.m. providing a beautiful display of light.

The Festival Choir, under the direction of Matt Gerry, will perform at Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, at the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services Nov. 2.

The ensemble will include vocalists and instrumentalists from the congregation and the surrounding community.
