Drug possession
A 32-year-old male, of Breinigsville, was arrested for possession of illegal drugs after a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 9:45 a.m. Sept. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
DUI crashes
A 31-year-old female, of Zionsville, allegedly was driving under the influence in the area of Chestnut Street and Mill Road, Upper Milford Township, when she crashed her sport utility vehicle into a ditch 10:21 p.m. Aug. 23. Her vehicle rolled over in the crash, trapping her inside. The motorist had minor injuries, according to authorities. Macungie Ambulance also responded.
A Macungie motorist was taken into custody for driving under the influence after allegedly running from a crash scene along Hamilton Boulevard and state Route 222, Lower Macungie Township, 11:07 Aug. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist lost control of his pickup truck while driving along Hamilton Boulevard and struck the concrete center barrier, causing the pickup to topple onto its passenger side. The driver fled the crash on foot and was later found in the area of Brookside Road, according to authorities. The motorist refused medical treatment.
DUI
A 22-year-old male, of Macungie, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence in the area of McKee Court and Hearth Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 2:30 a.m. Sept. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 39-year-old male, of Pottstown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after being found unconscious in his vehicle along Limeport Pike, Lower Milford Township, 12:22 p.m. Sept. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Retail theft
A 20-year-old male, of East Greenville, allegedly attempted to remove merchandise valued at approximately $3,000 from retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods, 707 N. Krocks Road, Suite 101, Lower Macungie Township, Sept. 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male abandoned a cart full of merchandise after store employees confronted him, according to authorities.
An 18-year-old male, of Macungie, was taken into custody Aug. 29 after he allegedly removed gift cards with a total value of $1,006.95 from retailer Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The teen was an employee of the store at the time, according to authorities.
Someone removed cosmetics and perfume products with a total value of $1,232 from retailer Ulta Beauty, 833 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 1:04 p.m. Sept. 7.

Criminal mischief
A group of youth threw rocks at and damaged a water pump shed and a metal rowboat at residential community Four Seasons at Farmington, Creek View Court, Lower Macungie Township, Sept. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Theft from vehicle
Someone removed approximately $5,560 worth of tools and equipment, including a Stihl handheld leaf blower valued at $180, from an equipment trailer at a location along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, between Sept. 5 and Sept. 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Identity theft
Someone impersonated federal and Chinese law enforcement officials to convince a resident of Barnside Road, Lower Macungie Township, to provide banking, address and passport information, claiming the resident was “under investigation for money laundering,” according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The situation was reported Sept. 16, however, the impersonator contacted the local resident on several dates, according to a news release from state police.
A resident of Village Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned their personal information was used to apply for a Capitol One credit card account Sept. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The account was denied by the credit card company, according to authorities.
Scam
A resident of Church View Road, Upper Milford Township, was swindled out of approximately $1,500 in a cryptocurrency scam, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 9.
Stalking/ harassment
State police investigators found a tracker attached to a vehicle on Brunswick Lane, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 7.
Harassment
A 46-year-old male, of Macungie, was cited for harassment after an argument with another person became physical at a residence along Woodbine Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:53 a.m. Sept. 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Theft
Someone deceived a resident of South Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, into sending approximately $1,900 worth of online gift cards after pretending to be a customer service representative for YouTube TV, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Aug. 27.
Crash
An Allentown motorist and three passengers escaped injury in a one vehicle crash that ended with their vehicle crashing into a retention pond. The motorist was southbound on state Route 100 near the intersection of Gehman Road, Lower Macungie Township, around 10:13 p.m. Sept. 1 when the driver attempted a left turn into a shopping plaza, striking the raised traffic island. The vehicle went over the traffic island, hit a curb, went down an embankment and hit a fence before going into the retention pond, according to authorities.
Public drunkenness
A 58-year-old male, of Macungie, allegedly was intoxicated and causing a public disturbance at Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 6:52 p.m. Aug. 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 58-year-old female, of Coopersburg, was cited for public drunkenness after troopers were called to the area of Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, 7:38 p.m. Sept. 1 for a person allegedly stumbling along the road and impeding traffic flow, according to Pennsylvania State Police Foglsville,.
