To the Editor:

I am writing to express my support for Rita Perez for East Penn school board. I have been a resident of this community for 29 years. I’m proud to say my children attended East Penn Schools and now my grandchildren do as well.

We need a thoughtful, compassionate and a strong leader going forward. I am confident Rita is that person.

I have known Mrs. Perez for 20 years. I have seen her dedication to schools and the children. She is the person you want to meet the challenges and wonderful opportunities awaiting our students, teachers and parents. She will always advocate for ALL students in the best interest of the East Penn community. Rita is open minded and has a diverse understanding of children, budget management and is an effective listener.

I’m excited for my grandchildren to have the positive experience that my children did attending East Penn. I wholeheartedly believe Mrs. Perez will give the best of herself in the best interest of our precious children.
