In a press release dated Oct. 17, Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan announced theft and related charges have been withdrawn against a former Allentown Police vice officer.
In January, Jason Krasley, of Upper Milford Township, was charged with theft by unlawful taking — moveable property, receiving stolen property and tampering with or fabricating evidence.
“In a hearing today before Judge Thomas M. Caffrey, all charges were withdrawn due to prosecutorial discretion,” according to the press release.
The charges reportedly had stemmed from an incident at the business Washington Barbershop, Hamilton Street, Allentown, in May 2019.
According to a press release from the district attorney’s office in November 2024, cocaine, cash, drug paraphernalia and other items were seized at the time of raid on the barbershop by Allentown police.
The Oct. 17 press release ends as follows:
“This office will not comment further about the withdrawal of charges.”
