Schadt Ave. group hosts trunk or treat
On a nice autumn day Oct. 18, the Schadt Avenue Playground group held a fun trunk or treat for kids and their families.
There were games for kids to play and win a prize. The Schadt Avenue concession stand was open, and a popular ice cream truck called the Milk Train was present, serving a variety of frozen treats.
The park is located at 1975 Schadt Ave., Whitehall.
A large number of small pumpkins were available for decoration. The pumpkins were donated by Seiple Farms, which also operates a Halloween adventure on the farm, located at 5761 Nor-Bath Blvd., Northampton. Visit seiplefarms.com for information.
Ian Muth and Greg did a fine job roaming around the event as two large T-Rex dinosaurs. An unidentified Raptor sneaked up on his little sister, hoping to scare her between visits to the different trunk or treat cars.
Skyler Bieber as Wednesday Addams, Chris Bieber as an upscale bloodthirsty criminal and Kaylee Bieber as a ghoul enjoyed the late afternoon Halloween event.
The Unforgiven Few Motorcycle Club had a table by their spooky Halloween-adorned vehicle. The table held seven different candy buckets for trick or treaters to indulge.
Some attendees brought their pet dogs. Hailee, of Allentown, dressed fashionably in a bright red costume and brought her dog named Maple to the Halloween event. When kids came to her vehicle for treats, Maple was found wagging his tail.
Action Karate members Piper, Veronica, Bob, Lisa and Olivia were on hand, providing treats to kids from the back of a vintage car. Visit actionkarate.net for more information about the martial arts they offer.
