Northampton: Assumption BVM to hold breakfast Oct. 26

Breakfast will be served 8-11 a.m. Oct. 26 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 2181 Washington Ave. This is a restart of the regular monthly breakfasts.

The menu includes French toast, pancakes, scrambled eggs or omelet, ham, sausage or bacon, hash browns, toast, juice, coffee or tea. Tickets are sold at the door.

Northampton Area School District’s community education classes are continuing for the fall.

Water aerobics with Susan Roberts is a low-impact workout that is kind to your joints. Roberts will utilize noodles, water dumbbells and water belts. Classes are 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 4 in the natatorium at Northampton Area Middle School, 1617 Laubach Ave.

Dance It Out with Jennifer Stoudt has one more class: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 in the multipurpose room at Siegfried Elementary School, 1677 Lincoln Ave. This class is a low/high cardio and strength workout. Bring water and optional 1- to 3-pound dumbbells.

Line dancing with Brian McNeal also has one more class: 7-8 p.m. Oct. 28 in the gymnasium at Siegfried Elementary. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring water.

Coming soon is Stixercise with Michelle Heisler, planned for 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays from Nov. 4 to Nov. 25 in the multipurpose room at Siegfried. Dance to 1980s music with plastic drumsticks for a fun, complete workout. There are a lot of lunges and squats in this workout. Bring water and a mat.

Participants do not need to be NASD residents to join but must be at least 15 years old.

Joint Veterans Organization will hold its Veterans Day program 11 a.m. Nov. 8 at Veterans Plaza, 14th Street and Washington Avenue. The rain date will be Nov. 9.

An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, basket social and bake sale will be held 4-7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave.

No need to be present for the basket drawing, set for 7 p.m.

The dinner includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, roll and butter, beverage and dessert.

Dinner tickets can be purchased at the door. There is no cost for military veterans.
