Egypt/Cementon: Church to hold basket party

Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main St., Egypt, will hold its 30th annual basket party 10 a.m.-7 p.m., with 9-10 a.m. reserved for those with disabilities, Oct. 25. The event continues 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 26.

Food will be available during the event.

Ticket sales end 1 p.m. Oct. 26, and the drawing begins 2 p.m. No need to be present to win.

Ironton Rail Trail Oversight Commission’s fall historical walk, a free 7-mile, four-hour hike, starts 9 a.m. Oct. 25 from the barn at 4041 Chestnut St. Registration is not required.

Whitehall Fire Department’s annual Haunted Hayride in the Parkway event continues 7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 1. The event is located at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St.

There is a cost. All proceeds benefit the fire department.

The VFW’s all-you-can-eat breakfast, for eat-in only, is scheduled for 9 a.m. Nov. 2. Choose from scrambled eggs, potatoes, ham, sausage, bacon, sausage gravy over toast, pancakes, pumpkin pancakes, apple-caramel pancakes, French toast and a variety of omelets.

There is a cost.

The youth group of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, is holding its nut roll fundraiser. Orders are due by Nov. 2. Nut rolls will be delivered Nov. 16.

Available flavors are nut, poppy seed, lekvar, apricot, seedless raspberry and pumpkin.

The VFW will celebrate the 250th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps 1 p.m. Nov. 9. There will be speakers and birthday cake.

Donations of nonperishable food for Thanksgiving meals will be accepted for the VALOR annual Turkey Drop, set for 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the VFW.

Holy Trinity’s Seniors in Action group will attend the Christmas at the Pines dinner show Nov. 20. Dinner will be served noon, and the show begins 1:30 p.m. There is a cost. Reserve your spot by Oct. 31.

Whitehall Lions Club and Miller-Keystone Blood Center will be holding a blood drive 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 26 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

Youth as young as 16 may donate with a signed parental permission slip. You are not eligible to donate blood if you are on blood thinners or if you have given blood less than 56 days before Nov. 26.

All donors must have a valid ID with photo or signature.
