Oktoberfest, presented by ArtsQuest at SteelStacks over the first two October weekends, drew thousands of patrons despite a hotter and more humid first weekend and cooler and wetter second weekend.
People attended to enjoy activities such as the popular wiener dog races, taste a variety of German food provided by vendors, to play beer pong, listen to live music, watch German dancers, try their hand at ax throwing, watch beer stein holding competitions, and of course, drink beer.
Bethlehem Township residents Sheryl and Bob Tighe summed it up, saying they come for the “beer, community and music.”
