Joan G. Werkheiser, 88, of Salisbury Township, died Oct. 20, 2025, in Abode Care of Allentown. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Werkheiser Sr. who died in 2015.

Born in Salisbury Township, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Viola (Gable) Fenstermaker. She devoted her life to caring for her family and especially loved cooking for them.

She is survived by a son, Thomas E. Jr. and his wife, Ilona, of North Whitehall Township; daughter, Suzanne Nyari; granddaughter, Emily Anderson and her husband, Gregory; great-granddaughter, Helen Margaret Anderson.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald N. Fenstermaker.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Oct. 24 at Morgenland Eastern Salisbury Cemetery, 1707 Church Road, Allentown.

Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.
