North Catasauqua: Suburban North Family YMCA plans Boo Bash for Oct. 17
Join Suburban North Family YMCA, 880 Walnut St., Catasauqua, for the YMCA Boo Bash, set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 17 for some not-so-spooky family fun. Dress in your favorite costume.

St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church, 1239 Third St., is having a chicken dinner fundraiser. Order forms and payment are due by Oct. 17.
Pickup will be 4-6 p.m. Oct. 27 in the church hall.
The dinners, made by Kauffman’s BBQ, include half of a chicken, baked potato, coleslaw and cookies. There is a cost.

The 18th annual Best of North Catasauqua Autumnfest has been rescheduled, due to inclement weather, and will now take place Oct. 18 at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St. It is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

A trunk or treat will be hosted by Catasauqua Youth Athletic Association 6-8 p.m. Oct. 18 at 890 Walnut St., Catasauqua. Dress in costume as the most creative costume wins a prize. The concession stand will be open.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., Catasauqua, will hold a fall cash bingo Oct. 19. Doors and kitchen open 11:30 a.m., with bingo beginning 1 p.m.
There is a cost, which includes 15 games, seven specials and one jackpot round. There will be 50/50 raffle tickets available for purchase. Door prizes will be drawn throughout the event.
No outside food or drinks are permitted. The kitchen will be selling your favorites.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will be holding its next free community lunch 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the church. The free community lunch is given out to folks in the community with food insecurity or those who could use a helping hand.
The church is also accepting donations for the Roughie Pantry. The pantry is set up to “love our school-aged neighbors.” The pantry is currently accepting shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, body wash, tampons, sanitary napkins, etc. Collection bins are located at the church entrances.

The 2025 North Catasauqua/Catasauqua Halloween parade will take place 7 p.m. Oct. 22. Donations are requested to help offset costs as the parade is organized by private citizens without financial assistance from the boroughs.
To highlight both borough parks and to enable traffic to flow smoother, this year will feature a new parade route. The parade begins at 14th and Walnut streets and travels Walnut Street to St. John Street, St. John Street to Church Street, Church Street to Howertown Road, Howertown Road to Bridge Street, Bridge Street to Fourth Street, Fourth Street to Buttonwood Street and Buttonwood Street to Sixth Street. The parade will end at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.
The rain date for the parade is Oct. 29.

Items that are especially in need include individual nonperishable meals such as Dinty Moore, soup cups and macaroni and cheese. Also needed are peanut butter, jelly, crackers, individual servings of fruit that don’t need refrigeration, fruit boxes and men’s and women’s personal care items such as toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant.
