Fullerton: Trunk or treat set for Oct. 19

The youth ministry at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will once again be holding a trunk or treat 6 p.m. Oct. 19 in the large parking lot on Pershing Boulevard. All parish families are invited.

Decorating your car is a big part of the celebration, whether you keep it simple or go all out. Cars should arrive 5:30-6 p.m. No cars will be allowed in after 6 p.m.

Trunk or treat will end 7 p.m.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be holding bingo Oct. 26. Bingo starts 1 p.m., with doors opening noon.

Bingo will continue with tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightning game and more. There will be refreshments available for purchase.

Bring a donation of a nonperishable food item, pet food or paper product such as facial tissues, paper towels or toilet paper for Whitehall Food Pantry and receive a strip of specials to be played on the first four specials.

Reserving a seat is not necessary, but if you wish to do so, call or text 610-533-1357.

The music ministry of St. Elizabeth’s is having a nut roll sale for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. They are selling apricot, lekvar, nut, poppy seed, pumpkin cheese and seedless raspberry rolls.

Orders are due by Nov. 5. Look for order forms coming soon.

For the months of October and November, St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be collecting boxed or packaged stuffing mix for Thanksgiving for Whitehall Food Pantry. Any other nonperishable food items, as well as monetary contributions, are always welcome.

A shopping cart can be found in the coatroom area by the sanctuary for donations.

If you would like to volunteer at the food pantry 9-11 a.m. or 5:30-8 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, contact Gary Black at 484-274-2405 or gary.t.black@outlook.com.

St. John’s UCC is running a bus trip to New York City Dec. 13. The bus will leave St. John’s parking lot on Grape Street 9 a.m. and will be leaving the city 7 p.m.

Join in and enjoy the city during the holiday season. See a play, visit a museum or do some Christmas shopping.

The deadline for reservations and payment is Nov. 9. Make checks payable to St. John’s UCC, Fullerton.
