Oct. 15

The Vera Cruz Community Association will host the annual Vera Cruz Halloween parade 7 p.m. The rain date is Oct. 16. All are invited to participate in the parade, which will feature floats, groups and organizations and individual marchers/walkers. Parade participants will gather at Mystic Chain Park, 3718 Main Road East, Upper Milford Township, 6:30 p.m. to line up. The Salisbury Township community is invited to meet with local officials for coffee and conversation 10 a.m. at the Salisbury Township School District administration building. Salisbury Township School District Superintendent Lynn Fuini-Hetten, Salisbury Township Manager Cathy Gorman and Salisbury Township Chief of Police Don Sabo will be on hand.

The Emmaus Historical Society invites you to enjoy a look back in time at the October program, “Hess’s Department Store: An Icon of the Past” presented by the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum. This program brings to life the legacy of one of the region’s most iconic landmarks. It will offer a heartfelt tribute to a place that helped define the spirit of downtown Allentown. The program will be held 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Chestnut Street in Emmaus.

Oct. 18

The Emmaus Halloween Parade will start 7 p.m. The rain date is 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Visit the website www.emmausparade.com for details.

Fall craft and vendor sale at Church of the Good Shepherd U.C.C., 235 E. Penn Ave., Alburtis, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sale includes crafts, attic treasures, a gift basket auction, baked goods and vendors. Refreshments and lunch will be available.

Forks of the Delaware Bottle Collectors Association will hold its annual bottle and antique show and sale 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Macungie Memorial Park, 50 N. Poplar St., Macungie.

The Greater Allentown CROP Hunger Walk is scheduled 1:30 p.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. Registration begins 1 p.m. The event is an intergenerational fellowship and community service opportunity for individuals, families, youth groups, adult groups, businesses, organizations and congregations. “The Best of Broadway” chorus concert at Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W. Elm St., Allentown, in the Trexler Room 9:30 a.m. There is no charge to attend.

Oct. 23

The Woman’s Club of Emmaus will host its fall 2025 dessert card party 1 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. The event helps support the club’s scholarship program. Card games and board games will be played. Reservations closed Oct. 16.

The program will be “A Conversation about C-Change.” Kathleen Biggins will present a program on the impact of climate change.

The Emmaus Borough / Upper Milford Township Joint Environmental Advisory Council will host a bulb and seed swap 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Emmaus Public Library, 11 E. Main St., Emmaus. Participants who wish to may bring extra bulbs from their garden to share and swap with others and are welcome to include a photo of the plants so others can see what the plants look like when in bloom.
