Northampton: Fire department plans breakfast

Northampton Borough Fire Department invites all to its all-you-can-eat breakfast, set for Oct. 12 at the station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive. Doors open 8 a.m.

The menu includes scrambled and western eggs, sausage and sausage gravy, pork roll, Tater Tots, biscuits, cereal and toast and plain or blueberry pancakes. Orange and apple juice, milk or chocolate milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate round out the meal.

Prices vary according to age group.

Northampton Area Public Library’s annual autumn online auction will run through Oct. 12. Participate at napl.tiny.us/autumnauction2025.

Winners will be called the following week during library hours.

This year’s annual Jack Frost Parade will take place Oct. 16. Beginning at the fire station on Lerchenmiller Drive, the parade will turn left on Smith Lane and right onto Laubach Avenue, where it will continue past the community center and high school. It will then turn left onto 19th Street to Main Street. The parade takes a left to proceed down Main Street, until it leads back to the fire station at the end of the route.

NAPL’s annual autumn basket raffle is set for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 17. Tickets are being sold by the sheet.

You do not have to be present for the drawing; winners will be called the following week during library hours.

Northampton Area School District’s community education fall program is offering classes.

Come experience a low-impact workout that is kind to your joints during water aerobics with Susan Roberts. The instructor will explain all the exercises and utilize noodles, water dumbbells and water belts to give you a total body workout. Classes are 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 4 in the natatorium at Northampton Area Middle School, 1617 Laubach Ave.

NASD is also offering Dance It Out with Jennifer Stoudt 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 29 in Siegfried Elementary School’s multipurpose room, 1677 Lincoln Ave. This class is a low/high cardio and strength workout. All fitness levels are welcome. Bring water and optional 1- to 3-pound dumbbells.

NASD is offering line dancing with Brian McNeal 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays through Oct. 28 at the Siegfried Elementary gymnasium. Come and learn a variety of new and classic line dances to both country and pop music. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring water.

Participants do not need to be NASD residents to join but must be at least 15 years old.
