North Catasauqua: Food drive scheduled for Oct. 10 at Presbyterian church
Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will hold its monthly food drive 10 a.m.-noon Oct. 10 in the church parking lot. Drive through to donate your items.
Nonperishable food items will be accepted to benefit Catasauqua Community Food Bank.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Pine St., Catasauqua, is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner fundraiser, set for Oct. 11 at the church.
Seatings are scheduled for 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The menu consists of spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, bread and butter, beverages and desserts. The cost is by donation.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., continues its bag sale on everything through Oct. 11.
The shop will be closed Oct. 13-15 for cleaning and the seasonal changeover of clothing. The shop will reopen with all new clothing Oct. 16.
The shop is happy to accept donations of good used clean clothing, household items and toys during store hours, which are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua will hold its next free community lunch 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the church. The free lunch is given out to folks in the community with food insecurity or those who could use a helping hand.
The church is also accepting donations for the Roughie Pantry. The pantry is set up to “love our school-aged neighbors.” The pantry is currently accepting shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, body wash, tampons, sanitary napkins, etc. Collection bins are located at the church entrances.

The 2025 North Catasauqua/Catasauqua Halloween parade will take place 7 p.m. Oct. 22. Donations are requested to help offset costs as the parade is organized by private citizens without financial assistance from the boroughs.
To highlight both borough parks and to enable traffic to flow smoother, this year will feature a new parade route. The parade begins at 14th and Walnut streets and travels Walnut Street to St. John Street, St. John Street to Church Street, Church Street to Howertown Road, Howertown Road to Bridge Street, Bridge Street to Fourth Street, Fourth Street to Buttonwood Street and Buttonwood Street to Sixth Street. The parade will end at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St., North Catasauqua.
The rain date for the parade is Oct. 29.
