Moore Township: Christ UCC plans fall bazaar

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville, is holding its fall bazaar 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 11.

There will be homemade apple dumplings and baked goods, white elephant items, handmade crafts, home-canned products and more. The kitchen will be open, and food is available for takeout.

The Moore Township Land and Environmental Protection Board next meets 7 p.m. Oct. 13 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive. The board has preserved countless acres of farmland and open space within Moore Township.

The township recreation committee will meet 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at the recreation center, 635 English Road.

The committee is providing an opportunity to purchase a brick for the veterans memorial at the recreation center. Visit donate.brickmarkers.com/moore to donate or for information on how to order a memorial brick.

The Moore Township Lioness-Lions Club is planning its semiannual penny party for Oct. 26 at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive. Doors will open 11:30 a.m., with games beginning 1 p.m.

There will be basket raffles, door prizes, dinner raffles, food and homemade baked goods.

Moore Township’s trick-or-treat night is set for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31.

Moore Township Association for Families in Need meets the second Tuesday of each month at Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive.

Bingo is played 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company. Doors open 5 p.m.

There will be prizes, a progressive jackpot, rob the piggy bank, washline bingo and more fun.

Township yard waste drop-off is 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 7 a.m.-dusk Saturdays at the township complex. Check the township website for more information.
