Hokendauqua: Visit annual Haunted Hayride
Spooky season is here! Check out these Halloween-themed events in Whitehall Township.
• Haunted Hayride in the Parkway: 7-11 p.m. Oct. 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31 and Nov. 1 at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St. There will be free parking and refreshments available. There is a cost. Children ages 5 and under can attend for free. Discount coupons are available at whitehallfd.org.
• Haunted Parkway trick or treat: 2-5 p.m. Oct. 11 at Whitehall Parkway. There is no charge for kids dressed in costume; there is a cost for adults. Participants will enjoy face painting, food, music, mini cow visits and a basket raffle.
• Sports Factory of the Lehigh Valley’s car show trunk or treat: 2-5 p.m. Oct. 18 at Schadt Avenue Playground, 1975 Schadt Ave. The event includes free admission, food trucks, cool cars and spooky trunks. Costumes are encouraged. Organizers are looking for individuals, businesses and organizations to volunteer to decorate a trunk; visit forms.gle/vNxi5Yc7LsXuW2We9 to sign up.
• Trick-or-treat night: 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31. Rain date is Nov. 1.

Pink Pumpkins Coins 4 Chemo will have its Bags and Bucks Bingo Bash and Harvest Fest 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with bingo starting noon, Oct. 18 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road.
There will be a basket raffle, bingo with cash and purse prizes, a 50/50 raffle, pumpkin patch, children’s activities, vendors and more. Food will be available for purchase.
Admission is free, but there is a charge to play bingo. To get your ticket, visit ppc4c.org or purchase at the door.
Proceeds from the event will go to Prager Patient Assistance Fund in the Lehigh Valley Health Network, which helps cancer patients currently in treatment by providing financial assistance for nonclinical, everyday expenses.

Registration for Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association’s boys and girls basketball for the 2025-26 season is available at hokeypark.com/registration. Registration closes 11:59 p.m. Oct. 19.
The season dates are Nov. 10-Feb. 28, 2026.
In addition, volunteer coaches are needed for spring, summer, fall and winter youth athletics.
“Give back to your community and inspire our youth by creating a positive environment that promotes self-confidence and self-esteem,” HPPA said.

Whitehall Township; state Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-133rd, and state Sen. Nick Miller, D-14th, are hosting a free paper shredding event, set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 8 at the township municipal complex, 3219 MacArthur Road. You can bring up to five boxes or bags of personal and financial information for shredding.
This event is for residents in Whitehall Township and Coplay and Catasauqua boroughs.
