The Northwestern Lehigh field hockey finished last week with a pair of wins to move its record to 2-1 both overall and in the Colonial League.
The schedule has the Tigers playing their first 12 games against league opponents before a pair of nonleague games in the last week of September.
Wins against Wilson (1-2-0 overall, 1-2-0 Colonial) and Moravian Academy (0-2-1, 0-2-1) wrapped up the first full week of fall sports. The Lady Tigers downed Wilson 4-1 and then shut out the Lions 6-0.
Against Moravian Academy, six different players scored goals with the senior class leading the way.
Seniors Makayla Bressi, Hannah Gober, Kamarie Grim, Taylor Langley, and McKensey Miller all scored goals. Riley Stoudt represented the junior class when she got her first goal of the season in the win.
The defense also put on a show against Moravian as goalie Ryan Smolinsky was called upon to make just two saves to record her first shutout of the season.
Northwestern has games against Pen Argyl (1-1-0, 0-1-0) and Northern Lehigh (0-3-0, 0-2-0) this week.
