The Parkland cross country teams opened the 2025 season at the Lion Invitational at Moravian Academy on Aug. 22 in Bethlehem Township.
Colin McGuigan led Parkland’s boys team at the meet with a 10th-place finish. The Trojans’ Logan McEvoy (15th), Alex Abosamra (16th), Cole Orloski (20th) and Jaiden Zabler made up the rest of the team’s top five in the boys varsity race. Brycen Smith (22nd) and Isaiah Wilson (26th) also competed in the varsity race at Moravian.
Parkland finished second in Class 3A at the meet, with Central Bucks East taking the top spot and Easton finishing third.
Parkland’s girls team finished third among Class 3A teams at the meet, behind Easton and Abington Heights.
Harshita Keerthi led the PHS girls team with a fourth-place finish, with teammates Emma Carlson (11th), Lilah Ellis (21st), Violet Forte (30th) and Dani Schultz (37th) rounding out the team’s top five. Kenzi Schultz (39th) and Parker Tatum (43rd) also competed in the meet for Parkland.
Parkland will run in this weekend’s DeSales Invitational Saturday before embarking on its East Penn Conference schedule Tuesday when it hosts a multi-team meet.
