The Emmaus field hockey team picked up two more wins last week, beating East Stroudsburg South and Pocono Mountain West.
Gracie Huffer scored three goals and assisted on two others in Friday’s 13-0 win over ESS. Rylie Povilaitis (2), Morgann Orobono (2), Addison Povilaitis, Lovey Pilarski, Sadie Nawarynski, Sarah Palazzo, Kaitlyn Carter and Alex Jensen also scored goals in the win.
Madi Lenig assisted on three EHS goal against the Cavaliers, while teammates Rylie Povilaitis (2), Marissa Gigliotti (2), Ella Horner, Nawarynski, Jensen, Sharlise Solano and Elena Rosati also had assists against ESS.
Emmaus earned 22 penalty corners while allowing none in the game. Goal keepers Emily Romano and Aiko Price did not face a shot, while their teammates peppered the ESS goal with 48 shots.
In a 13-0 win over Pocono Mountain West last Wednesday, Rylie Povilaitis scored four goals and Gigliotti added three goals and three assists. Teammates Huffer (2), Nawarynski, Horner, Addison Povilaitis and Solano also scored goals. Other assists in the win went to Orobono (3), Rylie Povilaitis (2), Lenig (2) and Addison Povilaitis.
Emmaus outshot the Panthers 25-0 and had an 11-0 edge in corners in the win.
