The Parkland High School girls soccer team won its first six games of the 2025 regular season. While the Trojans remain unbeaten, their win streak came to an end in their seventh game of the season.
Last week, the Trojans had two Eastern Pennsylvania Conference games, one at home and one on the road. Last Wednesday, Parkland defeated East Stroudsburg North 8-0 at home, but then on Friday, in a matchup of the top two teams in the conference, the Trojans ended up in a 2-2 tie at Nazareth.
In the victory over the Timber Wolves, all eight goals had a different goal scorer. Avery Maier, Mackenzie McNeely, Chloe Sammarco, Delilah Zaiter, Isabella Hallal, Kennedy Perkins, Sarai Wellington and Liana Zurinskas all found the back of the net once for the Trojans. Every goal was also assisted, as Zaiter and Hallal each had two and Perkins, Sammarco, Huff and McKensie Ashner tallied an assist.
In the tie with the Blue Eagles, Zaiter and McNeely each recorded a goal to lead the offense. Adrianna Rizzotto tallied an assist in the game. Hanna Hertzog finished with a season-high six saves in net for the Trojans. For Nazareth, Bella Danise and Madison Jankowski both had a goal with Danise adding an assist. Emma Houchin made five saves.
Both teams were 6-0 entering the game.
