Last Wednesday night, the Hornets earned a straight set win at home over Pocono Mountain West by scores of 25-9, 25-9, 25-23. On Friday afternoon, Emmaus was on the winning end of a four-set victory at Freedom, winning by scores of 25-19, 25-18, 16-25, 25-21.

In the win against the Patriots, Andraya Flowers, Fiona Answini and Landino contributed 11 kills to lead the offense, with Answini adding 10 digs. Heffner tallied 41 assists and two aces.

The Hornets have won five matches in a row and the lone defeat was a straight-set loss against Bethlehem Catholic on September 8. The Golden Hawks are the only other team besides Emmaus without a loss in conference play this season.

Emmaus, which improved to 10-1 overall and 9-0 in the conference, has three conference matches this week against Central Catholic (Monday), Parkland (Tuesday) and Whitehall (Thursday). The Hornets are in first place in the EPC Lehigh Division.
