Richard D. Remaley

of Slatington

Richard D. Remaley, 80, of Slatington, died Sept. 28, 2025, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. Born in North Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late Benjamin C. and Elma S. (Newhard) Remaley.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He was employed as a produce manager at ShopRite in Allentown and King of Prussia for many years. Since his formal retirement, he worked part-time at True Value in Schnecksville.

He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, the Allen O. Delke American Legion Post16, Slatington, the Slatington Skeet Club, the Copeechan Fish & Game Club, the Emeral Fire Company and the Slatington Moose.

He is survived by a sister, Dorothy V. Best, of Allentown; brothers, John J. and his wife, Nancy, of Allentown, Benjamin C. Jr. and his wife, Eleanor, of Benton; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by siblings, Adeline R. Miller, Grace E. Schneck and Forrest.

A private graveside service with military honors will be held at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. The Rev. Kayi L. Freeman will be officiating.
