Northampton Area Public Library: Library’s online auction is Oct. 6-12
The Northampton Area Public Library’s annual online auction is upon us. The auction begins 9 a.m. Oct. 6 and ends 11:59 p.m. Oct. 12.
There will be beautiful artwork, adventures to Eastern State Penitentiary, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, Winterthur and more, as well as tickets to Touchstone Theatre, Civic Theatre of Allentown and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.
Check it out at napl.tiny.us/Autumnauction2025. On the BetterWorld platform, you need to register to bid. When you register, you’re able to set your maximum bid ahead of time and let the platform do most of the work for you!

For teens, we have two craft kits.
Halloween slime pickup begins Oct. 6, and spooky pom-pom buddies pickup begins Oct. 20.

The adult craft kit for October is gothic picture frames, which will be available for pickup by Oct. 13.

Stitch and craft will be held 6 p.m. Oct. 14.

The library will close 5 p.m. Oct. 16 for the Jack Frost Parade. Have fun, and be safe!

The autumn basket social takes place 6-8 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. We have around 300 baskets and gift cards to raffle off.
You can get your tickets at the door, or take advantage of the ticket presale at a discounted rate through 5 p.m. Oct. 16. Get them before the Jack Frost Parade, and you’ll be all set for the basket social the next day.

United Healthcare is coming in to present on Medicare 6 p.m. Oct. 20.

The Sugar ‘n’ Spice Romance Book Club is reading “My Roommate Is a Vampire” by Jenna Levine for the meetings planned for either 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. Oct. 22. Choose the time that works better for you.

The library board will meet 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23, and the Friends of NAPL will meet 7 p.m. Oct. 28. All are welcome to join or observe.

Miss Mayzi will host a STEM workshop for teens 2 p.m. Oct. 25. You will be exploding pumpkins or simple chemicals inside pumpkins.

Don’t forget to join Lily for Once Upon a Crime 6 p.m. Oct. 27 to discuss teens who kill.

Family story hour is 5:30 p.m. Oct. 27 for families with kiddos in preschool and elementary school.
Storytimes will be starting again Oct. 28 with lapsit 10:30 a.m. Mondays, toddlers 10 a.m. Tuesdays and preschool 11 a.m. Thursdays.

The Laid-Back Book Club is reading “Saturday Night at the Lakeside Supper Club” by Ryan Stradal during the month of October.
