Kathy S. Yost, 49, of Orefield, died Sept. 23, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of James F. Yost Sr. and Linda M. (Schuster) Yost, of Orefield.

A graduate of Lehigh Carbon Community College with a degree in nursing, she was a proud and dedicated registered nurse in the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was a devoted mother to her children, a role that wholly fulfilled her life. All who knew her remember her as a vibrant soul who was full of laughter and loved the people in her life unconditionally.

In addition to her parents; she is survived by triplet children, Emery R. Hurdle, Maddox O. Hurdle, Preston J. Hurdle, all of Orefield; stepchildren, Alea Hurdle, Bryce Hurdle, Faith Hurdle; siblings, James F. Jr. (Kim), of West Virginia, Jodi L Koch (David), of Alburtis, Chrissi A. Kent (John), of Orefield, Michael J.T. (Jenelle), of Orefield; many nieces and nephews; countless friends and loved ones.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 4 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Family and friends may pay their respects 2–4 p.m. before the service. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
