Fullerton Fire Company member
James D. Kurtz, 85, of Fullerton, died Sept. 17, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of the late Rosemary “Romy” A. (Zakos) Kurtz.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Woodrow and Ethel (Steele) Kurtz.
He was a graduate of Allentown High School.
He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
He worked in layout production department of Bethlehem Steel for 29 years until retiring.
He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown, where he was a Sunday school teacher for more than 30 years and served on many committees.
He was a life member of Fullerton Fire Company No. 1.
He is survived by a son, Kevin M. and wife Cynthia of Whitehall; and a granddaughter, Caitlynn.
He was predeceased by two brothers; and a sister.
