District News: Homecoming events Oct. 3, 4

The Whitehall High School homecoming football game is scheduled for Oct. 3, and the homecoming dance will take place Oct. 4.

Ticket sales for the dance occur during all lunches.

Reminder: Fall spirit days are continuing for WHS students. Join Student Council in celebrating the various theme days.

• Oct. 2: meme day

• Oct. 3: maroon and gold day

Students will have an early dismissal Oct. 8 for a professional development day for teachers.

Lunch will be served.

There will be no school Oct. 13.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling will be holding a virtual college fair 1-6 p.m. Oct. 19 and Nov. 9. Registration is open.

The virtual fair provides a wonderful chance to connect with hundreds of colleges and universities, all from the comfort of your home. Plus, it is 100% free.

WCSD students, don’t forget to join your classmates in celebrating Whitehall Wednesday by wearing your Zephyr gear or colors to show off your school pride.

Lehigh Carbon Community College’s young drivers program is available and is a noncredit class. The Schnecksville campus is offering a 10-hour driver training program for students ages 15 and older that combines interactive classroom instruction with immersive behind-the-wheel simulation training to equip learners with the essential skills necessary for lifelong safe driving habits.
