Bath: Church plans basket raffle, vendor sale
Chapman Quarries United Methodist Church, 1433 Main St., will be holding a basket raffle and vendor and yard sale 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 4. There will also be a bake sale and food for sale. All proceeds go to the church.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be having the annual blessing of the animals 4 p.m. Oct. 5. It is asked you leash your pets or bring them in a cage or crate.
This is a community activity that is open to anyone who would like to have their pets blessed. Invite your neighbors and friends!

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church will be offering first Communion classes 11 a.m. Oct. 12 and 19 in the upstairs parlor.
Students will receive their first Communion on Reformation Sunday, Oct. 26, and are welcome to worship with their families at whichever service the family chooses. We will recognize all of the students by sharing their names at both of our services.
The class is open to students from second grade on up whose parents have decided they are ready to receive the sacrament.
The class will be taught by Pastor Rachel.
