Northampton: Learn local history at museum event
The Siegfried Railroad Station Museum, at West 21st and Canal streets, will be open to visitors 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 27 and noon-3 p.m. Sept. 28 as part of the Passport to History program.
The museum houses artifacts of Northampton and the surrounding area.

Northampton Area School District’s community education fall program is offering water aerobics with Susan Roberts. Come experience a low-impact workout that is kind to your joints. The instructor will explain all the exercises and utilize noodles, water dumbbells and water belts to give you a total body workout.
Classes are 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 4 in the natatorium at Northampton Area Middle School, 1617 Laubach Ave.
NASD is also offering Dance It Out with Jennifer Stoudt 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays Oct. 1-29 in Siegfried Elementary School’s multipurpose room, 1677 Lincoln Ave. This class is a low/high cardio and strength workout. All fitness levels are welcome. Bring water and optional 1- to 3-pound dumbbells.
NASD is offering line dancing with Brian McNeal 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays Oct. 7-28 at the Siegfried Elementary gym. Come and learn a variety of new and classic line dances to both country and pop music. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring water.

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church will hold a new and used book sale, scheduled for 1-7 p.m. Oct. 4 and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 5 in the church social hall, 2181 Washington Ave.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet Oct. 8 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Doors open 11 a.m.
All members are cordially invited to attend, and visitors are welcome to attend and join our chapter. Entertainment will be Maria Santalacoma.
