The township land and environmental protection board next meets 7 p.m. Oct. 13 at the municipal building. The board has preserved countless acres of farmland and open space within Moore Township.

The township recreation committee will meet 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at the recreation center, 635 English Road.

The Moore Township Lioness-Lions Club is planning its semiannual penny party for Oct. 26 at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive. Doors will open 11:30 a.m., with games beginning 1 p.m.
There will be basket raffles, door prizes, dinner raffles, delicious food and homemade baked goods.

The township seeks to fill vacancies on the township’s Americans with Disabilities Act Committee. The committee needs three people, for one-year terms. The committee is charged with helping to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Township supervisors are planning the replacement or major renovation of the municipal building. Visit the township website or call the office to review the plan.

There is a traffic advisory for the following roads in Moore Township: Copella Road (Scenic Drive to Community Drive), Eagle View Road, Terry Road and Yost Road (Route 512 to Route 946). There are road pavement issues that require all motorists to slow down when driving on the roads.
