Louis J. Tepes Jr., 81, of Northampton, died Sept. 10, 2025, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Bernice S. (Marhefka) Tepes for 57 years.

Born in Barnback, Austria, he was a son of the late Louis Sr. and Margaret (Stranzl) Tepes.

He was the owner of Tepes Construction Company.

He was active in several professional organizations, including Pennsylvania Builders Association and Lehigh Valley Builders Association. He received the Pennsylvania Builder of the Year Award in 2007.

He earned his pilot’s license and became a member of the Quiet Birdmen.

He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Tim and wife Lynn; two granddaughters, Grace and Olivia; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Joseph.
