Gregory Paul Schubert, 56, of Bethlehem, died due to complications from cancer Sept. 13, 2025. He was the partner and fiance of Miguel Martinez for five years.

Growing up in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Fred and Irene Schubert.

In his early years he helped with the family business, selling blocks of ice from his father’s garage in Catasauqua. He would go on to spend nearly 40 years at Guardian Life Insurance, starting in the mail room right out of high school and eventually working his way up to senior marketing manager.

In addition to his fiance, he is survived by three sisters, Ann, Lisa and Jane; four nephews, Michael, Matt, Steve and David; two nieces, Alyssa and Katie; two brothers-in-law, Dave and Glen; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn.

He is predeceased by a brother, Freddie.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
